Blue Cheese Crusted Wagyu Filet Mignon


Easy but tasty filet mignon with blue cheese recipe.

Serves 4-6

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

2.5 Pounds Wagyu Filet Mignon
1/2 lb Blue Cheese
1 tbsp coarse sea salt
1 tbsp chopped rosemary
1 tsp coarse black pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp red wine
1/4 pound butter
4 garlic cloves

Cooking Instructions:

  1. To make the rub, use a mortar and pestle to crush the salt, pepper, one garlic clove and rosemary. Add the wine and olive oil. Mix well and place the rub on the meat. Set aside for at least 12 hours.
  2. Using an iron skillet, sear the meat on all sides, add butter and garlic.
  3. Place blue cheese cheese on top of the meat and place in the oven at 525 degrees for five minutes.
