What is Vecinos Market?
Vecinos Market was an idea borne out of two neighbors (vecinos!) chatting about how to support local Miami businesses while out on a run. What we came up with is Vecinos Market - a digital marketplace that includes the community’s well-loved local businesses. It is a place where residents can safely and conveniently buy all their favorite products while directing their dollars to support the local economy.
Can any local business join Vecinos Market?
No. First and foremost, the vendor’s products must be high quality and/or unique.
Secondly, we consider each vendor’s values regarding their products or production processes when determining which partners we would like to invite onto the platform. Values that are held in high regard by us and our partners include products or processes that are:
- Sustainable
- Eco-friendly
- Organic
- Natural
- Small-batch
- Artisanal
- Hand-crafted
How does it work?
You can browse any product category to browse products. If you want to purchase the product, you can add it to your cart. Add as many products from as many vendors as you like. There is only one checkout and everything will be delivered to your specified address.
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery for orders over $100 are free (Standard Delivery 3-7 days). For orders under $100, the delivery cost is determined by the speed of delivery selected as well as the customer address. During the checkout process, you can select from the following delivery speeds:
- Same Day Delivery (order must be placed before 2pm)
- Next Day Delivery
- 2 Day Delivery
- Standard 3-7 Day Delivery
Our vendor base is concentrated around the Wynwood / Mimo districts so our delivery rates are also determined by the distance from these districts.
How do I know when my delivery will arrive?
Your purchased products will arrive anytime between 11am and 5pm on the day you specified during the checkout process (for Standard Delivery, this will be a range of 3-7 days). However, if your order contains perishable items, we will text or call you in advance to ensure you will be home to receive the items.
Where do you deliver?
We delivery across Miami-Dade county. In addition, for non-perishable products, many of our vendors have the capability to ship as well. In this case, you would select “Outside of Miami-Dade Shipping” during the checkout process.
Can I get anything delivered same day?
If there is a restriction with the delivery or shipping timeframe, it should be noted both in the Product Description as well as the in a red note when the item is in your cart. Most products that are made to order cannot be fulfilled the same day.
Why should I purchase from Vecinos Market if I can just purchase from the vendor directly?
You can absolutely purchase from the vendors directly. The advantage of Vecinos Market is that you can shop many local businesses in one website and check out with one transaction. In addition, not all of our vendors have their own delivery capabilities which is a convenient service to our customers.
Do you charge more for your products than on the vendors’ websites?
Our vendors set the pricing for their products on our website. However, we strongly encourage our vendors to offer the same pricing on Vecinos Market as they do on other similar platforms and the majority of our vendors follow this guideline.
What is your return policy?
Since we are a multi-vendor platform, the return policy for any given product will be specific to the vendor from which they were purchased. Every vendor has their Return & Exchange Policies listed in the Policy tab of their Vecinos Market store.
